One of the American Idol season 16 finalists, Gabby Barrett, has been keeping busy both professionally and personally in 2022.

She placed third on American Idol in 2018 behind runner-up Caleb Lee Hutchinson and winner Maddie Poppe.

On the show, Gabby was known for her spectacular country music performances, and she has since had a very successful country career.

Gabby independently released her first song, "I Hope," in 2019. She later signed with Warner Music Nashville and released her debut album Goldmine in 2020.

Goldmine set the record for the largest streaming week for a debut country album by a female artist. From American Idol, Gabby gained much more than an impressive country music career.

Gabby married fellow season 16 contestant Cade Foehner in 2019 and gave birth to their daughter, Baylah May, on January 18, 2021.

Gabby's career is still going strong in 2022. "Pick Me Up," the single from the American Idol finalist's album Goldmine (Deluxe), an extended version of her debut album, was released this year.

Cade appears in the video for the song. Gabby received the Rising Star Award at the 2022 Billboard Women in Music Awards in March. Later that month, she cohosted the 57th ACM Awards with Dolly Parton and Jimmie Allen.

She was nominated for Female Artist of the Year and set a record for being the youngest host in the show's history.

She was also nominated for the Country Song of the Year award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in March for "The Good Ones." In April, she was nominated for Female Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards for "Footprints on the Moon."
